Nature's Noises

The frogs in the pond call
And the cardinal begins to drawl
A low lonely and mournful sound
That calls the mole out of his mound
The wind rustles the trees' leaves
And the brown beaver heaves
A log up the damp hill
A duck quacks its bill
As it waddles into the ponds
And then it dawns
On the frogs to stop calling their songs
For the afternoon has become long
The day soon turns into night
And the birds begin their flight
Each into his cozy nest
And each begins to rest
The black night turns into bright day
The animals wake up and start to say
"Good morning! Good morning to you!"
"Have you ever seen the sky this blue?"
The frogs then start to call
And the cardinal begins to drawl
A low lonely and mournful sound
That calls the mole out of his mound
