Castlem: The Prologue

There was trouble stirring in Castlem. No one, not even The Teacher (and The Teacher was one of the wisest people who lived in Castlem), knew how to stop it. Much progress had been halted due to the disaster, and the chaos was only helping it continue.
The Teacher spent many sleepless nights pondering over what she should have done to try to rid Castlem of the evil. If she ever did fall asleep, it was a fitful slumber full of dark rooms and cold, harsh voices. She was haunted by both her troubles and the dreams.
One day, a while later, The Teacher had a strange vision. She saw a girl walking in an unknown place. The Teacher had a feeling that this girl had talents that could have saved Castlem. Over time, The Teacher forgot about the girl, and later she went back into her state of confusion and worry.
As the days turned into weeks, the weeks turned into months, and the months turned into years, the trouble and danger in Castlem grew. Also, many people who were fighting for Castlem had died or were dying. This included The Teacher.
The Teacher was getting old, and she needed a successor. All of her students would have jumped at a chance like that. However, The Teacher had not found the right student yet. All of Castlem was holding its breath, waiting for something, or someone.
